We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Browne, renowned Irish oyster expert and proud member of the Oyster Master Guild, to our 2025 festival! Join Sarah for an exclusive masterclass where she will share her wealth of knowledge about Irish oysters and their significance in both history and modern-day cuisine.
In this interactive session, Sarah will dive into the many benefits of oysters as a rich source of essential nutrients, and guide you through the process of sourcing, shucking, and savoring these delicacies. Participants will enjoy an in-depth oyster shucking demonstration, followed by hands-on experience in shucking their own oysters under Sarah’s expert guidance.
Explore the diverse flavors found in oysters, learn how to enhance your tasting experience, and challenge some of the myths surrounding this remarkable shellfish. To top off the experience, each participant will take home an Oysome oyster tasting pack, including an exclusive OMG tasting wheel, Oysome apron, a Taste the Atlantic oyster knife, and valuable tips on buying, storing, shucking, and tasting oysters at home.
All shellfish used in the workshop is sourced from SFPA-approved establishments, ensuring the highest quality and sustainability. This is a must-attend event for anyone passionate about Irish oysters .
